utsa scholarship hub- Helpful tips when on the HUB

  • Prepare yourself to supply documents like as essays, contact emails for individuals who may provide letters of recommendation, and any other materials that may be necessary. On the application, it will specify whether or not letters of reference, essays, or other items are necessary to complete the scholarship application process.
  • Please refer to the Frequently Asked Inquiries section of the Scholarship Hub’s website if you experience any difficulties or have any questions regarding the General Application. As the due date draws closer, there is a possibility that the website will run slowly for some visitors.
  • If you have been chosen for a scholarship, the organization that manages the scholarship will notify you, most likely through the use of email. In the event that you are granted a scholarship, it is possible that the amount of need-based assistance that is offered to you will be modified.
  • HELP TEXT: If you need any further assistance or clarification, please click the question marks that are located inside the gray circles.
  • PROVIDING REFERENCES – There are several scholarships that do not require recommendation letters. In the event that a recommendation is required, you will be invited to enter the full name and email address of the person being recommended. Prior to providing a person’s contact information, it is expected that you will politely request permission to use that person as a reference and then follow up with a respectful request for permission to do so. After the contact information has been submitted, the reference will instantly receive an email with instructions on how to finish the referral. I would appreciate it if you could promote a prompt answer from your reference. You will only be able to see that the recommendation has been received and not the actual recommendation that was sent in.
